Empowering The Black Community Through STEAM Education
FACE 614’s STEAM Program is an innovative and visionary collaboration between First Fridays Columbus and COSI, which aims to revolutionize the way science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education is perceived by citizens of color in Ohio.
We understand that engaging young minds can only be achieved through the active involvement of adults in their lives. Recognizing this crucial aspect, we prioritize engaging Black adults who hold pivotal roles as mentors and role models for younger generations.
Guests will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and experiments, allowing them to learn through experience rather than just instruction.
The integration of arts into STEM (STEAM) promotes creativity and innovation, crucial skills for success in any field.
We use our platform to bring together individuals from different backgrounds to celebrate and appreciate the importance of science education for all ages.
With interactive exhibits and presentations from industry experts, guests can gain insight into various career opportunities within STEAM fields.

“My first time at Excellence I experienced it with my mom who traveled in from NYC. We made sure to have as much information as possible about the event before hand.
