Our Story
Evolution of First Fridays and FACE614
First Fridays started in the 1990s as an after-work networking event that quickly became the city’s go-to social scene. Over the years, it evolved into a cultural movement, blending live music, fashion, and entertainment with unforgettable experiences like the Excellence Black Tie Gala, R&B Masquerade, Blanc Mode, and Color of Summer. In 2023, First Fridays became FACE614, expanding its mission to celebrate Fashion, Art, Culture, and Entertainment on a larger scale. While the name has changed, the energy remains. Whether you’re here to connect, celebrate, or just enjoy the vibe, First Fridays is where unforgettable moments
happen.

opportunity. Major Events – From the Excellence Black Tie Gala to the R&B Masquerade, Blanc Mode, and Color of Summer, our signature events showcase top local talent—including artists, chefs, fashion designers, models, and entertainers—creating immersive experiences and unforgettable moments.
Quarterly Networking Events – Every quarter, we bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, and creatives for exclusive networking mixers designed to foster connections, spark collaborations, and elevate careers in a vibrant, upscale atmosphere.
NOW Foundation – Through our Growth Program, we empower minority entrepreneurs in Central Ohio with the resources needed to scale businesses and creative pursuits. We also highlight opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (S.T.E.A.M.), inspiring innovation and economic advancement within the Black community. From high-energy cultural experiences to professional and entrepreneurial empowerment, First Fridays is more than an event—it’s where connections are made, opportunities grow, and culture thrives.
